Nutritious Foods Series by; Dr. N. Vijayalakshmi IAS : Gongura Chutney. Gongura ( Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa)) is a plant commonly fund in the Indian Subcontinent. It is also found in North Indian States.The edible portion is leaf which is made into Chutney. Gongura pacchadi is a very popular side dish of Andhra Pradesh so much so that it is known as Andhra mata.It is also found in other parts of the country and known with local names.In Bihar it is called as Kudrum.Very rich in Iron and folic acid it is the cheapest food source to help fight anaemia women and children.
